Battle On, A 1 Move Battle Resolution System, MOSAIC Strict.
Before you roll, ask the following questions of the attacking force’s situation:
For each “yes” answer, add 1 positive die to the pool. For each “no” answer, add one negative die to the pool.
- Is the aggressing side performing an ambush?
- Is the defensive side in an open and vulnerable position?
- Do the aggressors have superior numbers and/or skill and/or technology?
- Are the aggressors experienced?
- Are the aggressors willing to fight dirty?
- Is this a battle to the death?
- Did the aggressors have preparation time?
- Do the aggressors have something to prove?
Roll 1d6, + 1d6 for each question with an answer. For each positive die, cancel out the lowest die. For each negative die, cancel out the highest die. You should eventually have a single die left. Then consult the following to determine the results from the perspective of the aggressors.
**1:**An overwhelming loss.
**2-3:**A heroic defeat.
**4:**A Pyrrhic victory.
**5:**A victory with acceptable losses.
**6:**A flawless victory.
